Project Abstract
Cognitive decline in the elderly often goes unnoticed until it significantly affects daily life. Conditions like dementia progress quietly, and many seniors delay seeking help due to stigma, fear, or denial. As a result, caregivers are left worrying, but without objective tools to track early changes.
Brainrot Rewired addresses this gap through something simple and familiar: a game. It is a lightweight, web-based game that looks and feels like casual entertainment, but is designed to track reaction speed, accuracy, and decision-making over time. Elderly users enjoy a short, 30-second gameplay session, while caregivers receive clear, visual insights through a real-time dashboard.
After each session, performance data is analysed and compared against previous results. Built-in thresholds flag downward trends and categorise cognitive performance as stable, to be monitored, or high risk. Importantly, Brainrot Rewired is not a diagnostic tool, it acts as an early warning system that encourages timely professional screening when needed.
By combining accessibility, gamification, and meaningful analytics, Brainrot Rewired empowers elderly users to engage independently, while giving caregivers peace of mind. Our goal is to make early detection approachable, stigma-free, and seamlessly integrated into everyday life.
