The inspiration for BudgetWise was to help people that are struggling around the world because they don't have the financial knowledge to succeed.

It takes in current income and expenses in order to understand your current financial situation and uses it to configure the AI to help discuss issues in your financial information.

This was built using a trained model on chatbase, making it tailored to financial knowledge and credible in diagnosing and providing advice that can help you plan for your future if you use accurate inputs.

We could not feasibly build our own chatbot that is focused on financial knowledge, and struggled to input the form inputs into the chatbase bot. These could be eventually fixed if we used a different chatbot or built our own but we wanted to provide our own training data.

We are proud of the current status of the chatbot because of the training that we used to provide it with financial knowledge, allowing us to provide accurate knowledge about individuals financial situations.

We learned how to use basic JavaScript which was meant to provide inputs from the form into the chatbot, however we realized this was not supported by chatbase. We also needed to learn how to change sizes in HTML so that the formatting is correct and looks clean.

For BudgetWise we need to create our own chatbot to help make it even more specialized than the chatbase trained model, allowing us to have custom inputs in the chatbot. We could also have made the website completely on our own instead of using squarespace.
