Inspiration
I initially tried to build a VR app with Amazon Sumerian, but I couldn't find a working Android Device or a Macbook to develop on. I pivoted and wanted to use Algolias API because the indexing and making data searchable appealed to me and I am into health.
What it does
It can take in voice or text input of what you ate and gives you the amount of calories, fat, protein and other information.
How I built it
I used Algolia's API to index the database I downloaded from the USDA website, and used Deloitte to transcribe voice to speech.
Challenges I ran into
I didn't have Deloitte credentials towards the end of the hackathon so I had little time to develop the speech to text.
Accomplishments that I'm proud of
Using Algolias API and not quitting.
