A "collaborative notepad/calendar", a community driven mock up app that takes user input and posts it on a dashboard, where everyone can see posts of other people's dashboards.

Inspiration

Based on our real life experiences with friends

What it does

The Calendar X app allows you to post t reminders, dates, etc, so other people can see. You can also add/delete/strikethrough posts. Others can also view your post and whether you start or others. YOu can join a group to chat (not implemented yet, only prototype).

How we built it

CSS JavaScript HTML VS Code Editor Used

Challenges we ran into

  • Visual issues
  • Minor technical issues
  • Lack of time
  • Biggest was not being able to accomplish our original goal of saving posts after reloading, despite many seemingly close attempts

Accomplishments that we're proud of

  • Easy to use UI
  • Functional
  • Check listed every goa except one previously mentioned
  • Had a fun time

What we learned

  • Don't underestimate time and preparing, even the smallest things need to be imporved and done before hand

What's next for Calendar X

  • Adding local storage to save posts even after reloading
  • Implementing multiple languages
  • Better homepage
