Inspiration
We wanted to do something along the lines of camping, so we figured people go camping to escape from the real world, so we wanted to bring to transfer some of the camp experience virtually. We wanted to let people hear the ambiance audios of the world.
What it does
It allows people to create accounts and save their favorite ambiance audio. people may upload their own audio to the public in a social norm.
How we built it
We built a full-stack app using PHP, CSS, and HTML.
Challenges we ran into
- Connecting domain
- running the code on cloud
- PHP and how it was new to us
- Connecting the blackened with SQL
Accomplishments that we're proud of
- We are happy that we have a working prototype that does the app's main features -listening to audio and browsing with favorite genres.
What we learned
- We learned how to redirect links to the cloud production code
- We learned how to structure and organize an SQL backend
- We had to do a lot of planning and team organizing using GitHub
What's next for Camp-Verse
- We want to implement features that enable people to have a bigger sense of community like a liking, subscribing, and viewing system. This can have the potential to make people use world audios as a social media instead of videos or pictures.
