Symbl's Sentiment API generated colorized bubbles

Inspiration

Primarily since last year, most communication has shifted to virtual means and the internet/ media communication has outgrown with more followers than ever. We sense a strong responsibility to maintain progressive mindset across these means. Thus, we came up with a solution to provide insight on chats as well as filter pre-recorded voice messages.

What it does

Our app uses Symbl AI's sentiment analysis to filter chats, as well as represent the voice conversations as colorized bubbles for every speakers differentiated by their conversation ID.

How we built it

We used HTML, CSS, Node JS and Express to build this application.

Challenges we ran into

The texts were sometimes very big to analyze for the responses as well as getting sentiments suggestions for the phrases.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Coming from web design/ development background, Voice API was quite a distinct thing we worked on. But, we checked documentation for possibilities and enjoyed the build process.

What we learned

We learned about the range of voice analysis/ conversation services Symbl AI's API has to offer.

What's next for OSChat

As next features for OSChat, we would like admin section for the chat which can sort out negative sentiment messages and filter them out from colorized chat bubbles. As well as delete conversations based off their IDs, also later embed Symbl's live streaming api in our voice conversations.
