Inspiration
Projects often have unrealistic deadlines, budgets or resources getting in the way of delivering a solution.
What it does
Simple fidget toy? Or visceral reminder you can use of how a project can't have everything and upfront choices about tradeoffs are important to set the proper priorities for a project.
How I built it
Using the forge cli and confluence macro using custom UI with HTML, CSS and Javascript in place of UI-kit due to time constraints.
Challenges I ran into
Project started on the last weekend of the contest so I had to come up with a simple premise when working with unfamiliar apis and unknown possible roadblocks. A complication was building with a cloud IDE so encountered many issues with tunneling and lack of debugging from that created limited choices of how the final product was built. Originally was being built with the Toggle component from the UIkit library until finding the custom-ui feature let me rapidly develop in tradeoff of a deeper integration that would take more testing time.
Accomplishments that I'm proud of
New familiarity with the atlassian developer api , it's forge cli , confluence, and learning about new approaches in how to architect an app ecosystem in a secure way for a SASS.
What I learned
A little exclusion algorithm for bestOfOdds (2 out of 3, 5 out of 7) for elements in a design that need to allow selection of most but not all elements. Identify needs for faster development workflow. And you can't have it all.
What's next for Choose TWO
More preset choices and emojis, configurable choices, layouts and style presets, brandable styles , statistics tracking and soft polling (fast v cheap etc), tagging documents as a metric for sentiment of project outlook.
