Inspiration: Clarify was inspired by people who struggle with language impairments, and the extension was developed to make it a little bit easier to navigate the web.
What it does: It helps make websites easier to read or study by simplifying text, especially for those with dyslexia or other learning difficulties.
How we built it: Built using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, with Codebuff to create a smooth experience.
Challenges we ran into: We faced connection issues and had to figure out how to work with Chrome extension development.
Accomplishments we're proud of: Was able to complete the hackathon project even though I joined really late.
What we learned: We learned how to build Chrome extensions and use AI to simplify text.
What's next for Clarify: We plan to add interactive definitions, smart readers, and personalized text changes to make browsing even easier.
