Inspiration

Crypto is becoming the future of finance, but when we first tried using platforms like Binance, we felt overwhelmed and confused. The crypto space is full of complicated terms, risky actions, and scams and there aren’t enough beginner-friendly resources that teach people by doing. That inspired us to build CoinCoach, a fun and educational platform that helps users understand crypto safely through interactive learning.

What it does

CoinCoach is an educational crypto learning platform that teaches users how to invest and stay safe using:

Beginner-friendly tutorials Interactive simulations where users invest with fake money Realistic market graphs and trends that go up and down based on scenarios An AI chatbot that explains concepts, gives guidance, and answers crypto questions in simple terms CoinCoach makes learning crypto feel like a game while still teaching real skills like risk management, decision-making, and scam awareness.

How we built it

We built CoinCoach as a web platform with: Next.js + React for the frontend Tailwind CSS for a modern dark-mode crypto design Charting tools for real-time trend graphs AI integration (Gemini) for smart guidance and scenario-based simulations GitHub for collaboration We structured the system like a real product: modular pages, strategy selection, simulation engine, and feedback reporting.

Challenges we ran into

Making the platform feel like a real simulation instead of a boring quiz Designing a fun user experience that still teaches serious concepts Creating realistic investment scenarios and scams (rug pulls, phishing, approvals) Connecting game logic, graphs, and AI responses smoothly Managing teamwork + merging features cleanly using branches and GitHub

Accomplishments that we're proud of Turning crypto education into an interactive investing game Building a strategy-based simulation with fake money investing Adding graph trends that react to market events Creating a beginner-friendly learning flow that reduces fear and confusion

What we learned Crypto education needs to be interactive people learn faster by practicing UI/UX matters: a clean game-like design improves engagement Risk and safety are central in crypto, not optional Working with Git branches + deployment helped us build like a real engineering team AI tools can be powerful for education when used responsibly

What’s next for CoinCoach Next we want to add: Full level system, leaderboards, and badges Smart real-time scam detection alerts Multiplayer/competitive simulation mode Mobile-friendly experience More tutorials (DeFi, staking, NFTs, wallets) More advanced AI-generated simulations and personalized feedback Integration with real-time market data (read-only) for even more realism
