We as college seniors, have faced all the problems our freshmen face in their first year of college, we understand their confusion, anxiety, hesitation, and fear traversing through the jungle that is college, yet we ourselves had little to no resources and guidance during our freshman year, that would've set us into a much better path

This is why we have decided to collaborate on a project that would not only help Freshmen get a good idea of what they should expect from college but also set them on a path toward getting the best out of their college experience

Functionality

1) Rate and review your professors

Ever had a boring or strict professor you didn't know was a terrible teacher until you attended his first lecture? Using the professor review feature, you can know which professor classes are worth going to, and which professors you have to avoid, the key features are:

Search tool Using a search tool you can find and filter professors by their department, ratings, and courses taught, Allowing for a much faster way to find your professors

Ratings and Reviews

Allows students, seniors, and Alumini to rate a professor by their ability to teach, academic prowess, and approachability, in addition to this, the user can leave a detailed review stating their experience with the professor.

2) General information

Users can contribute general information regarding the subject a professor teaches, which courses are available in which semester, office address, contact information, and office hours.

3) Freshman Guide and FAQs

Freshmen guide and faqs offer ample information and guidance to make their first-semester smooth sailing

FAQs Section Seniors and alumni answered faqs commonly asked by freshmen, their experience in college allows them to offer useful and helpful inputs to student queries.

Advice from seniors Users have the opportunity to acquire life-changing advice from their seniors na alumni regarding placements, internships, college life, hostel life, and academic dance which not only helps confused freshmen but also allows alumni and seniors to leave a parting gift for their juniors

General Information Users can access general information about the college, academic calendars, course structure, syllabus, and holiday list Confused freshers can use the map provided to find directions to classes, food points, libraries, stationery stores, etc

4) Student discussion form

Student discussion form is a melting pot of different people from different branches, states, countries, and cultures

Discussion form using TinyMCE Users can send a forum-style message using TinyMCE, start a discussion with other students on a topic, or can post questions, and opinions or a simple invite to have a fun discussion on this platform promoting socialization between fellow batchmates

TinyMCE allows users to express their views using Rich text, rather than plain old text. This means users can include images, formatting, embeds, etc. in their reviews and comments
