Inspiration
Public transport plays a major role in everyday life, especially in communities where combi taxis are the most reliable option. I noticed that many people struggle to find combis for private trips, events, or tours, while combi owners struggle to find consistent clients.
What it does
CombiConnect allows users to connect with combi owners who are willing to rent out their vehicles with or without a driver.
How I built it
I focused on designing a simple, user-friendly interface and clear functionality that solves a real problem. The development process included planning, designing the user flow, and implementing the core features step by step.
Challenges I ran into
One of the main challenge is balancing simplicity with functionality and clearly defining the needs of both users and combi owners.
Accomplishments that I am proud of
Improved my skills in project planning, problem analysis, and independent decision-making while working alone.
What I learned
Through this project, I learned how to turn a real-life problem into a digital solution, manage a project independently, and think critically about user experience and scalability.
What's next for CombiConnect
- Adding user accounts for combi owners and trip planners.
- Integrating booking and availability management.
- Adding ratings and reviews for trust and safety.
- Implementing payment options.
- Expanding the platform to support tourism packages and group travel.
