Inspiration
Music is a window to the soul. We wanted to peek into the hearts of our friends to test their musical compatibilities with us.
What it does
Compatify looks at Spotify users' saved music and determines the similarity in their tastes in music. When two users use Compatify, it also creates playlists of songs that both of the users enjoy.
How we built it
We used Python, Flask, and Spotipy to develop our back-end, and HTML/CSS, Bootstrap, and Javascript to develop our front-end.
Challenges we ran into
This was our first time using an API, so we spent a lot of time trying to learn how to use it.

That all it takes to make a good hack is friendship (and knowing CS).
What's next for Compatify
We want to extend Compatify's function to more than just two people. We also want to create more visuals with the data we can gather from using the Spotify API.
