Inspiration
This 21st century is the age of knowledge, any skill that you can ever imagine to learn has tutorials available online especially on youtube and with new technological advancements, everyone has the medium to access this content through their phones, despite this, it is normally the case that 90% of people who start a playlist does not even complete 10% of the course, 99% does not complete even half of the course and very few complete the course. The main reason for this is the distraction that surrounds youtube, youtube is designed in a way where it motivates you to watch more and more videos in less time, for this they give recommendations everywhere on their platform which makes it difficult to focus on work. This is happened to me a thousand times when I wanted to learn something but got lost in the web of different youtube vides which are not related to my work and by this I got this idea.
What it does
CourseVerse is a web platform that allows users to import YouTube playlists and watch them without distractions. Additionally, the app features a chatbot powered by GPT API that generates summaries of the videos, creates quizzes based on the video content, and helps users get their doubts cleared. This app can be a great tool for learners who want to improve their skills by watching online videos in a distraction-free environment while also receiving additional support and guidance through the chatbot.
How we built it
- Frontend: React JS, Tailwind CSS, Vite
- User auth: Google Firebase
Challenges we ran into
- Using ChatGpt API and Youtube API for the first time was a bit difficult
- Coming up with a feasible idea that could be implemented within the given time frame.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
- Helping each other out and working together as a team
- Completing the project in the given time frame despite schedule conflicts
- Using a minimalistic design, which makes the website easy to use
- Perfectly Using ChatGPT API in our project and got to know the real power of this AI engine, which everyone is talking about
