We chose pollution because of how largely it affects our environment, especially with increased human consumption in these modern times. With the 5.25 trillion pieces of plastic that are currently in the ocean, more than 100,000 marine animals are dying each year from our waste. Turtles are one of these species that are highly affected by pollution, as 100% of turtles found in this recent year had ingested some sort of plastic.

We ran into challenges such as learning the code in a short amount of time, getting the turtle to jump properly, debugging codes, and fixing small errors.

We’re proud of accomplishments such as finishing the project, making two elements (game and web), creating a functioning website, designing our own characters pixel by pixel, and writing the game code.

Next for Turtle Tango will be further development of the game more for fun and making the website more accessible (adding 'other' or 'custom' to the pronoun section).
