Inspiration

The app was inspired by the need for better cybersecurity awareness and education, as cyber attacks are becoming more common and sophisticated.

What it does

The app helps users learn about different types of cyber threats by testing their knowledge with challenges and teaching them how to protect themselves online. This is done through a gamified experience where users receive clues to nearby points of interests that display various cyber security questions.

How we built it

We used android studio along with firebase as our main tools with the help of frameworks such as material design & ARCore.

Challenges we ran into

Android studio restricted our AR development with its limited use of 3D assets and ARCore, making it very challenging to render 3D objects.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We are extremely proud of our end product given the time constraints of this weekend. Specifically the logic behind the clues that lead to nearby areas of interest based on gps location.

What we learned

We learned that working together and building off of each other's strengths pays off with a great learning experience and a more successful product.

Whats next for CyberHunt

We hope to implement more challenges and difficult levels to the app in the future. Adding user progress and some user incentives such as certifications and check points are also key to the future of CyberHunt.
