Inspiration
I'd been building my adventure obby world, Space Mission, and saw players having a lot of fun playing it, but they weren't returning. I decided to create an incentive to play multiple times. It was around this time that I was introduced to custom avatar animation, and I thought it would be so fun if, instead of hurting other players with a gun, I could make them dance. Immediately, players wanted it and started replaying the world to earn it!
What it does
It uses a projectile to activate a custom animation player animation on the player being hit, then plays a short sound clip, "Oh no, you have been hit with a dance!"

How we built it
It uses player input, raycasting, and custom avatar animations. Music was made with Suno. I've modeled the blaster model in Blender
Challenges we ran into
I ran into problems with making the raycast projectile fire along the same line of sight.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
I love seeing how excited players get when they finally earn it, and I think it's such a unique asset that more people should see, and I hope they do!
What we learned
This was my first introduction into Custom animation, how to set up a projectile and blaster, how to reward players and auto-attach it to their avatars
What's next for Dance Blaster Asset
