Inspiration

Disaster Warrior was created and inspired after witnessing and experiencing the devastating damage of the Texas Winter Storm in 2021.

What it does

Disaster Warrior is a website created to help not only prepare for inevitable natural disasters but to also bounce back and build resilience against them. Weather patterns and mother nature can leave us with ruins and many kinds of stress that lasts weeks on end. Disaster Warrior strives to prevent or alleviate these problems and pressures resulting from natural catastrophes. Whether you want to prepare your home and your family for a potentially dangerous upcoming disaster, or have recently experienced on and need some help, we are here for you.

Collaborating on an amazing idea and turning it into a functional website everyone can use! We're also proud of facing our challenges head on and taking them as a part of the process.

What we learned

As a team we learned that it is not easy to just come up with an idea and program it to life. Through the process of creating you face many challenges and road bumps, but facing those challenges and getting over them is what creates an experience and team bonds.

What's next for Disaster Warrior

Disaster Warrior will not just stop at this Hackathon. We will continue to provide more information and different ways we can help assist users with natural disaster preparation and restoration.
