Inspiration
As freshman students, we often struggled with making connections or becoming more integrated into the school community. We alternated between being overwhelmed by the sheer number of students and RSOs to feeling isolated. Therefore, we decided to design an app that would allow RSOs and independent groups to create and organize social events through our app that would be available to everyone.
What it does
The program allows users to sign in and view events through apple maps to see various RSO events throughout UW.
How we built it
The project was built on Xcode using the language swift.
Challenges we ran into
A lot of general bugs, issues regarding working with an interactable map, and file pathing problems.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
Having a complete and functional product.
What we learned
Further planning ahead of time would have been beneficial, and setting up collaborative tools such as GitHub repos could have been done ahead of time.
