Inspiration

Often we noticed users struggle with inefficient space usage and the sheer complexity of managing their storage resources. To solve this issue I tried creating this solution which helps in efficient disk management.

What it does

Disk Manager built for Windows gives you a detailed analysis of your data and empowers you to take control of your computer's storage, optimize your space, and keep your system running smoothly.

How we built it

Disk Manager is built using the Windows Presentation Foundation (WPF) in the .NET Framework and using Visual-Studio for restoring a using NuGet Packages.

Challenges we ran into

Compressing to .rar and zipping files to reduce space and saving in the same directory in real-time.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Succeded in creating a user-friendly disk management software that simplifies storage optimization, making your computer run smoother.

What we learned

  • Learned about compiling C# libraries to build .sln files for Windows software.
  • Integrating WPF into libraries which helped me in reading file characteristics.

What's next for Disk Manager

Disk Manager will soon have its own stable msi file such that users can use it worldwide. Along with that Disk Manager will even have improved performances and new features get added.
