Inspiration
POV: you're at the doctors office, and the doctor uses some jargon you don't know. Or, perhaps, you describe the issues you're having, and the doctor doesn't seem to... quite get it, but you don't have the confidence or language to help you navigate the conversation, or you're too embarrassed to confide to this new doctor about the problem you're having.
So what if, at the clinic or prior to your appointment, a little buddy could help you check in and do an interactive intake form that guides you through that process?
What it does
Doctor Simulation [working title] is a blend between a simple survey and a chatbot that provides assistant to a patient prior to receiving an appointment. A patient might fill it out before their visit, to which the responses will be given to the healthcare professional who will take their appointment, in order to lesson the friction of communication between doctors and their patients.
How we built it
Figma https://www.figma.com/file/frXJjBPKETtSqeO5YizAei/hacks23-doctor-websit-bear?type=design&node-id=0-1&mode=design&t=rCHTeOHTch3UQmmD-0 for design. Github for version control, node for backend, typescript/react frontend.
Challenges we ran into
Learning github ^_^! Attempting to incorporate AI--just ironing stuff out with using chatgpt's AI.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
A friendly solution!
What's next for Doctor Simulation
Implementing a good chat flow that still incorporates generative elements while making sure to collect all the data needed by a traditional intake survey. User testing.
