Problem and Brainstormed Solution Summary

• Wanted a way to combat excess food waste and donate it to those in need.
• Found that restaurants throw away a lot of food that is not used, such as orders that are called back
• Food banks normally take donations from people, but they can also take it from restaurants
• This would also allow restaurants to get tax reductions ## What it does
  • we chose to create a website that verifies the delivery of excess food from restaurants to food banks. ## How we built it
• Using react as frontend, python as backend ## Challenges we ran into
• integrating the backend and front end, especially since different people coded different ends

• Implementing a state-registered database of all authenticated restaurants/food banks
• Working closely with these people to ensure that the info we have is correct
