Inspiration

Our team all agreed that studying can be a drag, and we need all the help we can get. Whether it was "Study with Me" Youtube videos that mimic body doubling or Pomodoro timers, we found that we all benefitted from these strategies. Why not combine the strategies into one?

What it does

Doro allows students to create and join study sessions with others based on major, chosen study session time and length, and others. During each break, members can share a photo of their progress to help keep each other accountable.

How we built it

Illustrations for the logo and background were hand-drawn in Adobe Illustrator, and the prototype was built on Figma.

Challenges we ran into

A few of our members are new to Figma, so establishing a consistent user flow was challenging as they became accustomed to the platform.

Narrowing the scope of our concept was also a challenge, as we had lots of ideas we would love to incorporate, but were unable to do.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We're really happy with the design elements and concept we were able to create. We're also proud to have successfully worked and learned together!

What we learned

This was a great opportunity to get more comfortable with Figma. This was also a great exercise in ideation.

What's next for Doro

In future iterations, we would love to add features including Spotify music sharing, a chat feature, and video calling.
