Inspiration
The detection of road damage, including pothole detection is performed manually; which is tedious and time consuming. The results of the detection and severity is subjective to the expertise of the inspection personnel.
What it does
My project uses drone technology with deep learning to detect and identify the potholes and marks them in the google map using the drone GPS so that the potholes can be fixed
How we built it
Used drone and did live stream of the video from the drone to get the pothole feed. Passed to a neural network and visualized the GPS data in google maps

Accomplishments that we're proud of
Being able to build and integrate all the modules. Being able to handle and fly the drone for the very first time.
What's next for Drone based Pothole Detection
Currently it doesn't support live detection of the potholes. It can be improved by detecting the potholes in realtime. Also, we can introduce AI technology to make the pothole detection autonomous.
