Inspiration
The difficulty of having tough conversations, like breakups, inspired us to create Dump Her. We wanted to make a tool to help people navigate these conversations.
What it does
Dump Her trains users with a realistic breakup conversation where their partner has the tendency to use gaslighting and manipulative techniques to stay in relationships they want to opt out of.
How we built it
The app is built using React and Simli.
Challenges we ran into
- Designing conversations that feel realistic
- Incorporating a harsher tone, reflective of a situation where a breakup may prove difficult.

- How to use Simli to simulate a custom personalized experience.
What's next for Dump Her
- Expanding use cases to other difficult conversation contexts, such as negotiating for a job offer, resolving a family conflict, etc.
- Expanding customizability across avatars (upload photos), personality types (profiles such as narcissists or uploading text screenshots to simulate dynamics).
- Offering an objective analysis both in real-time and at the end of a conversation.
