Easy Screen Share

Inspiration

Often, when I want to send a video to a friend to show something interesting on my screen, I just don’t do it. Why? Because I know it’s going to be a hassle. I have to:

• try to remember how to record my screen
• find the recorded file
• compress the video
• upload it to a secure place
• then share it

So most of the time, I end up taking out my phone, filming my screen, and sending it on WhatsApp. But that’s not any better: I have to hold my phone with one hand and use the keyboard and mouse with the other.

What I really wanted was a simple tool that lets me record my screen in a few clicks and instantly share it, either via messaging or through a link hosted on a cloud storage provider, especially for sensitive content.

The solution

A Logitech plugin that:

• Records your screen
• Copies the video to the clipboard for quick sharing
• Or uploads it to a cloud storage provider and generates a shareable link
