Inspiration

Every year, millions of tons of electronic waste end up in landfills, leaching toxins and wasting reusable materials. We asked ourselves: What if recycling e-waste was not a chore, but a challenge? Not a burden, but a game? EcoCircuit was born from the idea of gamifying sustainability, turning discarded devices into stories of art, reward, and positive impact.

What it does

EcoCircuit is a web platform that lets users: Locate nearby AR-guided e-waste drop points Earn EcoTokens and AI-personalized rewards Join corporate recycling challenges Explore and shop upcycled art & accessories in our marketplace Track their recycled devices with blockchain-verified digital passports It gamifies recycling and builds a community of conscious contributors.

How we built it

Frontend: Next.js (built on Project IDX for real-time collaboration) Backend: Node.js + Express.js Database: MongoDB + Firebase Authentication Cloud: Google Cloud Platform (GCP) AI Integration: Gemini API for reward personalization and blueprint generation AR Navigation: Powered by Google ARCore Blockchain Layer: For device passports and recycling verification
