Welcome to eLeetMath, a 1v1 math website where you compete against other math enthusiasts in live 1v1 challenges. Improve skills and have fun solving math problems!

Inspiration

We saw a need for a platform where math enthusiasts could showcase their skills, improve their knowledge, and have fun competing against others. We wanted to create a space where users could test their math abilities and track their progress through a ranking system.

What it does

eLeetMath is a website that allows users to participate in a 1v1 math game where the goal is to solve the derivatives as fast as possible. This is a great way for users to improve their math skills alongside others who share their passion for math.

Challenges we ran into

One of the biggest challenges we faced was the real-time communication between players in the 1v1 matches. To achieve this, we implemented the use of Socket.io.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We are proud of the seamless integration of the various technologies we used in the creation of eLeetMath. By combining these technologies into one platform, we have created a unique and enjoyable experience for the users.

What's next for eLeetMath

Our primary addition we would like to add is a Database for User Account Authentication and progression with the Elo rating system.

I work on the Backend and general architecture design of the application

I worked on the front-end. It was my first time doing front-end development, and I used material-ui.

I worked on the mathematical functions in the backend to generate the derivatives and the query to the Wolfram Alpha API for answer verification. I also worked on front end UI with material-ui.

I worked on the back_end. I generated random algebra questions with 2 levels of difficulty.
