Inspiration:
AI uses a lot of energy, especially big models. We wanted to find a way to run them without trashing the planet.
What it does:
Enka splits up big AI models and runs them across multiple devices—kind of like sharing the load. And it only uses devices powered by renewable energy, like solar or wind.
How we built it:
We made a system that can break up a model, send the pieces to different devices, and run them all together. We also check where each device’s energy comes from, so we only use the green ones.
Challenges we ran into:
Keeping all the devices in sync was hard. Figuring out which energy sources were actually renewable took some digging. Making everything run smoothly on a bunch of different devices wasn’t easy.
Accomplishments that we're proud of:
Got a big AI model to run across multiple devices. Made sure it only used clean energy. Built something that actually works and helps the environment.
What we learned: You don’t need huge servers to run big AI—you just need to be smart about it. Clean energy and tech can totally work together. There's a better way to build AI that doesn’t burn through resources.
What’s next for Enka: Support more types of models. Let anyone with clean energy and extra compute power join in. Work with green energy companies to improve accuracy. Make it super easy for developers to use Enka.
