Inspiration
Years of COVID-19 and the international crisis turned more attention to the problem of mental health and personal well-being. In this field, developing accessible instruments of self-help and teaching people how to detect and analyze their emotional state is essential. The availability of professional help is generally low and has many barriers to entry: it is often too expensive, and there is a lot of distrust and scepticism around it. Besides, the default level of EQ in many cultures is limited and suppressed by generational traumas and wrong incentives.
What it does
EQceptional provides a simple mobile application to journal and analyses the emotional dynamic of the user. The main goal is to help users connect with their own internal emotional landscape. Through gamification and visualization of tracking, users can add and interpret what they feel in the diary. Besides, they can participate in exercises from EQ practices. Web3 aspect is introduced in X2Earn manner with NFT achievements. Users get rewarded with a score that they can claim as EQNEAR and utilize with platform partners. Besides, the consistency of practice provides uses with NFTs that they can add to their digital identity profiles.
How we built it
We created a custom unity application from drafts that we had, but fully renewed its design and added an NFT-based achievement system with the tokenized score.
Challenges we ran into
Introducing and managing the tokenization part still requires more work and development. Conversion of game points into fungible tokens EQNEAR is still work-in-progress. In the following steps, we will make a more consistent connection between the Unity application and NEAR-backend to provide real-time support.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We love the idea, the design, and the ability to utilize NEAR for such issues as mental health and self-development.
What's next for EQceptional
We plan to polish the application, improve the tokenization method, and launch it on testnet to collect data about user's behaviour.
