Inspiration

Around 32% of parents in the US say they either can't be or don't know whether they could be someone whom a younger person could approach to discuss sexuality. We get it - it's not the most comfortable of topics.

However talking about sexual autonomy and learning about it in an open environment is the way to remove the 'taboo' around said topic. So, we decided to create that environment for everyone!

What it does

F-Empower is an online chatbot that you can use to ask questions regarding the female anatomy, sexuality, etc.

If a user doesn't know where to start, F-Empower will help them get started by presenting a number of topics they can pick from.

How we built it

• Setting up the software on our computers.
• Answering specific questions in Dialogflow
• Integrating Google Assistant

• That we made a working, functional project
• Proud that project is within a progressive and cool social frame

What we learned

• JavaScript and the entirety of React
• Using Dialogflow
• Programming an independent project in a team in a relatively short period of time was a new experience for all of us.

What's next for F-Empower

• Make it feel like a more comfortable, human-like conversation rather than a query-answer relationship
• Continuing to normalize the conversation around sexual health and pleasure for womxn*
