Fashioner
Inspiration
An average person wastes 17 minutes daily selecting the outfit to wear. That’s around 2 hours per week, 60 hours per month and a whopping 720 hours per year of wasted time! Time being the most important asset, it could be used more wisely. This is where Fashioner will save your dime. Leave your outfits for Fashioner to decide.
What it does
This program asks for and stores images of clothing pieces owned by the user. Depending on the event inserted by the user, it generates a suitable outfit befitting the event using the garments in the user’s possession.
How we built it
We used Python3, HTML, and Flask to build this project. We imported open libraries to help us write our project.
Challenges we ran into
Writing descriptions of input images and integrating instructions in the UI were one of our bigger hurdles. Apart from those, selecting the features we want to include in the project was a healthy debate.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
Getting the program to work within the given time and learning a ton of new techniques related to libraries in Python.
What we learned
Learned various Python uses in a limited time.
What's next for Fashioner
Better GUI with more precise combinations, which takes into consideration the style of the user.
