Inspiration

Many aspiring developers create awesome projects and software, but they don't make it big because they lack proper business support and user attraction. There are not a lot of platforms on which developers can upload their awesome projects and users can view them and companies can know about them. Being developers, we also faced this problem and hence we came out with the solution.

What it does

FastAlpha is a platform on which developers can post their projects and software and interested people and companies can endlessly browse through them. We also have an Invest option for companies who are interested in boosting small-scale projects. They can invest in small projects and provide monetary support. This is a startup idea as we can generate revenue by promoting products (advertisement) and by taking a share of the investment. This idea will help small but talented and skilled developers in boosting their products and starting their SaaS business

How we built it

So we finished the minimum viable product in due time. We finished these things -

1. Complete login authorization - Person can now log in through their mail and signup as well

2. Company creation - Companies can create an investor account and set up their profile

3. Products page - this will be the page all product cards will be visible. Users can endlessly scroll through the product cards

4. User Profile page - We also made the user profile page where people can review their profiles

5. Company profile page - Same as user profile page but just for company :)

6. Full investment by payment getaway - We even managed to use one of our local direct payment app just like stripe for investment payments. The app we have integrated is Paytm

*7. Create product * - People now can even create their products and it would be shown on our website in realtime.

Overall we used Python and Django for the backend and HTML/CSS/JS and bootstrap studio for UI/UX. All of the work was done by us

Challenges we ran into

Being young highschoolers this was not an easy task for us. We faced many hurdles. Some of them are

  1. Integrating Paytm (stripe alternative) in our application. The Paytm docs were not so great and thus we faced a lot of errors.
  2. Another challenge was loading video and images in our application. Luckily, for Django, we were able to solve it in time.

  1. Completing the MVP in due time
  2. Successfully integrating a payment method
  3. Creating database tables in Django with real-time storing through forms
  4. Creating a responsive UI
  5. Storing videos and images in the database

What we learned

We learned many things like

  3. Team coordination
  4. Revenue generating idea

What's next for FastAlpha

We will make it more smooth and improve the UI/UX. We will also create the promoting form and fix rates for promotion We will also integrate a universal payment integration And we will add google authentication to it

Through this idea we help skilled developers to gain investment and leading their saas products. We will also generate revenue for us by taking a share of investment and revenue from promoting/featuring products
