Inspiration
We decided to make this project about oppression against women because we thought it was just about enough. We wanted to inform people that even though it is the modern day, oppression is still existing. Women are constantly told what to do and what not to do, so we decided to do something to counter that.
What it does
Our website "Feminism" Gives you an insight into the numbers/statistics, stereotypes and how to prevent them and finally national problems and how different countries belittle women. Our website is designed to be responsive and also empowering.
How we built it
First, we went on and began designing and researching our ideas. We wanted an IDE which we could all work together, so we ended up using repl.it. We built this website in little sections, and each of us worked on what we assigned to ourselves. We cleaned everything off and put it into vscode. Finally, we imported it into netlify using the github repos we saved!
Challenges we ran into
We definitely ran into same crashing problems in repl.it. I think the main problem we faced was formatting (margin, padding) and linking up the files.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
The UI looks clean, the nav bar is responsive.
What we learned
We learned a lot more about the inequality in women in STEM. I am glad we got this opportunity!
What's next for Feminism
Look for more responsiveness. Maybe provide chart.js.
