A Discord bot that keeps communities inclusive and clean by deleting any derogatory and/or profanity. It gives feedback if one types in a profane word and deletes the message from the server.
We want to make platforms like Discord more inclusive and safe from cyber bullies.
Deletes any profane messages from the servers to keep it clean and warns users to not say that. The application will delete any messages if it 60% likely to be profane.
We used Node.js and Discord.js to create a backend application with Perspective API to pull data of derogatory words.
Having trouble integrating and pulling data from API. Everytime we put a profane word, we did not get feedback and if we did it was only once.
We perservered and did not give into our thoughts of giving up.
We learned how to pull data from an API and use pm2 to run the program constantly.
What's next for InclusiveBot - We want to integrate throughout more servers and add more categories such as toxicity and darker messages.
