Inspiration

Since elementary we've been using the same computer systems, with a lot of the same technology like file explorers; and many of the same limitations for example windows and mac environments never getting along.

We wanted to see what we could do in the face of tech that has grown stagnant, given our opportunity now to learn a lot and be creative with Agentic Ai.

File explorer systems just haven't become more effective overtime fast enough for us. This project, Destination 67, will change that.

What it does

Comprehends your files for you, then at any time you may ask for any file or file manipulation needed, like query or sorting, deleting or general inquiry into the files on your computer.

An Ai with knowledge of your system.

How we built it

We used Tauri (Rust Backend / Typescript + Vite + React Frontend) to build a cross platform solution. Nvidia nemotron 3 different models. Vectorstore database lancedb

Challenges we ran into

Agentic model integration; most did work yet when trying to set up direct email we decided other things should take priority

Simple can be better, and to challenge norms, even if something hasn't changed for a while doesn't mean it has peaked for good.
