Inspiration
In my city, many people don’t know where to find small but important local services, such as car repair shops or shoe repair stores. At the same time, new businesses struggle to advertise themselves and reach customers. I wanted to create something simple that could connect people with these services quickly and effectively.
What it does
Find it Easily is a platform where users can either search for services/jobs or post them.
Job Seekers can select their city and see local services marked on an interactive map. Clicking a marker shows details like the name, address, and description.
Job Posters can create a listing by entering the service name, description, exact address, and coordinates. The listing appears instantly for everyone to see.
How we built it
I built the platform using modern web technologies along with Firebase for real-time data storage and updates. The map feature displays businesses and services using geographic coordinates provided by the posters. The UI was designed for simplicity so anyone can use it without confusion
Challenges we ran into
Implementing role-based user registration and login.
Managing real-time updates for all users.
Making sure the map correctly displays the coordinates entered by the user.
Designing a clean, intuitive interface for both desktop and mobile users.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
Completed a functional prototype that works in real time.
Successfully integrated role-based logic for Job Seekers and Job Posters.
Created an easy-to-use map interface to display services.
Built a system that could be scaled to work in any city worldwide.
What we learned
How to use Firebase for real-time databases.
How to integrate and manage geolocation data.
The importance of UX design for making platforms beginner-friendly.
How small businesses can benefit from digital visibility.
What's next for Find it Easily
Adding a review and rating system for services.
Improving the search feature to include keywords and categories.
Adding mobile app versions for Android and iOS.
