You're a fisherman trapped in the isolation of the ocean. A monster lurks in your cabin; it demands to be fed. Day by day, you must gather enough fish to satiate the monster's appetite. Each day, however, the monster's hunger grows. You must strategically pick and utilize abilities to keep up with its increasing demands.

Inspiration

Inspired by Stardew Valley and Dredge, we set out to create a 90s-style horror fishing game that leans heavily on sound design and stylized visuals to build tension, anxiety, and a constant sense of dread.

What it does

Each day, you fish as much as you can— until the sky turns red and you run out of time. Each night, the monster in your cabin demands a certain amount of fish, and it demands more every day. You have to survive 5 days.

How we built it

We developed the game in Unity using C#. All character and environmental models were created and animated in Blender to support the art direction and atmosphere we wanted.

Challenges we ran into

  • Designing a gameplay loop that stayed replayable, balanced, and genuinely anxiety-inducing
  • Creating fishing upgrades that felt meaningful without breaking the pacing
  • Modeling and texturing assets to achieve the semi-realistic visual style we envisioned

Accomplishments that we're proud of

  • Bringing our visual and atmospheric horror vision to life
  • Smooth development thanks to our goated programmers
  • The game is terrifying :)
