Inspiration

Managing money like never before.

What it does

This is an aggregator application that includes a budget managing application, a stock screen, a sentiment analyzer for stocks, gives information about the trending stocks, also gives access to the video learning platform to learn financial management, and also has a community of people where they can share information about same.

How we built it

I used Next.js to build a web application with a clean UI on the homepage so as to attract the user and provide a really comforting experience. There is a dashboard that has a lot of information about investments, mainly the sentiments about a particular Tickr, news related to it, and insider trading of the same Tickr. The application is also powered by an IVR bot, which can help people with fewer data to also keep themselves updated with the stock market news. With this application, I want to promote financial literacy and want to provide this resource to people who are resource deprived.

Challenges we ran into

A lot of them, from starting of getting access to APIs, to the limit bans on certain APIs, to even lazy loading of frontend and deployment of backend.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Building the APIs, and somehow being able to put them together in such a short span.

What we learned

I learned a lot about python deployment on hosting services, library management, and optimizing build time, and also tried animation using framer-motion in order to visualize data in an improved manner.

What's next for FSavings

A lot of things. I initially wanted to build a credit score checker and give insights on the same using AI, but due to the rigorous verification process of same, I could not get my hands on the API, hence had to change my whole project to be a budget manager and a stock screener powered by AI.
