Our inspiration wasn't much, just seeing waste lying around water bodies and barren land was an unbearable sight

When waste is dumped in the collection bin it is transported set by set into a container which we call the burning chamber. from here the plastic is burned giving of heat, the heat spins a turbine placed above it which spins to create kinetic energy which is then converted to electricity. similar to a windmill. The smoke given will be thoroughly and responsibly taken care of, that is to say that it will be run through an filtration process including a carbon filter. The molten plastic will also be moulded into new recycled materials such as buckets, bottles or plastic containers.

We used cardboard for the frame, a motor and a fan for the turbine, and some boxes for the burning chamber and the collection bin

The next step is to make the Future grid more efficient by not making as much of an cloud of smoke, for which we have already brainstormed some ideas.
