Inspiration

Old websites and a passion for helping kids be successful in a field that is difficult to stand out in were things that inspired us in this project.

What it does

College and high school students make profiles and apply for medical opportunities in a job-posting format. If they are chosen, they will be emailed directly by the professionals who posted the position. (the user profile contains student contact information). Pop-up windows are used for a lot of functionality, establishing a retro feel.

How we built it

FastAPI, React, and Vite were the frameworks we used. We used React dnd kit to create the draggable functionality, and we were planning to use Redux for user management. Axios was used to connect the frontend and backend together

Challenges we ran into

Flask framework gave us a hard time, and we had to switch over in the end to FastAPI in order to ensure the functionality of our project.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

The accomplishment we are most proud of is our UI, which is dynamic and retro themed, as well as the implementation of dnd kit to create a dynamic and interactive UI.
