Inspiration
The goal was to build a game that would allow us to play and experiment with the Roto VR chairs.
What it does
Avoid work by riding around the office on a fire extinguisher-fueled desk chair!
How we built it
Built with Unity and C#, assets made in Blender.
Challenges we ran into
Unity and C# were new for most of our group, so we had to learn a lot to get by. We also struggled to implement the Roto SDK, so we had to pivot pretty late into the project.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We're all proud of what we managed to do, from learning blender to creating pathfinding algorithms from scratch.
What we learned
We all worked with new tech over the game jam - C#, VR development, Unity, Blender, and SDKs were big learning points for us. We also learned the importance of staying organized and being prepared to pivot.
What's next for Game Jame
We'd love to work more with the Roto chairs i the future given the chance, and are interested in learning more about game development!
