Inspiration
Had an hour left, didn't want to waste it
What it does
Uses statistics to semi-realistically model the survivability of people versus serpents
How I built it
coded in python in around an hour
Challenges I ran into
time, not seeing any large serpents recently
Accomplishments that I'm proud of
imagining a gigantic serpent, designing probability-based systems of eliminating said serpent
What I learned
Randomization can be a useful tool in simulation and gamedev
also, if you don't know JS, you can't fake it till you make it
What's next for Gimmy
more damage models, different kinds of heroes, possible existential critique of the entire serpent hunting business, maybe an extended world with procedurally generated geography/history
Built With
- python
- random
