Inspiration: Me and my partner both like high quality photos and geography.
What it does: It gives visitors/customers information on travel arrangements, hotels, car rentals, and traveling deals/discounts for the purpose of traveling or going on a vacation.
How we built it: Using our own website requirements and specifications form, digital wireframes of key pages, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, jquery, and Adobe Photoshop.
Challenges we ran into: The cascading of several images on smaller screen resolutions, because some would flow outside of their natural order (which threw the page layout off). A few issues with spacing and alignment.
Accomplishments that we're proud of: Built a decent looking and functioning website within 19 hours with tons of high quality photos!
What we learned: Working under pressure with HTML5/CSS3/jquery mostly and keeping an eye out for small bugs that often go undetected.
What's next for GoTravel: Just refine it and store in portfolio.
