Hackathon 2021

The inspiration behind this was always hoping to meet a mentor with shared interests/background myself for a long time. I really enjoyed navigating the Odyssey website because they already tackled so many aspects that are important for building these important relationships. They had the option to book hours, filter the person you'd like to meet based on different qualifications, as well as give you access to an entire library of people. So building off of a good template was a little difficult.

After reviewing and analyzing the website, what came to mind was making it a little more minimal for the sake of digesting the information. Students and professionals alike would click on the same tab to match with each other. Ideally there would be an option to click for a random mentor along with the option to match based on shared identities and hobbies.

I built a non-working prototype using Figma.

Losing a teammate was difficult however she helped me really pick apart odyssey to figure out what we could add from there.

Accomplishments that I'm proud of: Getting done on time and committing to this.

What I learned: Hackathons are super fun.
