Hackathon Thingy

Inspiration

We were inspired by video games. Our whole group plays video games, so we were excited to work on something that resembled one.

What it does

We made a website that does 4 things.

1. It creates an username for you so you don't have to waste time making one up. You can just click on the "Username" tab and you have a username copied onto your clipboard.
2. Our website has a "Password" tab, in which it creates a safe password that will protect you against threats, such as hackers and and viruses that attack your laptop.
3. We have a game called "Check it!" that helps you practice your password security skills. There are 3 passwords, in which one of them is the strongest. Choose the right password to earn points.
4. We built another game called "Link Finder". This is similar to "Check it!" such that there are 3 links and you must guess the right one. Guess the safe link to earn points. ## How we built it We built our website using JS, CSS, and HTML. We used GitHub to share code and also to create our website. We communicated together on Discord, working in a voice call for over 6 hours. ## Challenges we ran into During our time as a team, there were times when not everyone was online to help progress, and 2 of our teammates were missing. 2 of our members learned HTML and JS in just one day. We solved this by having each of our team members working more than 15+ hours within the three days. ## Accomplishments that we're proud of We created a website from scratch for the first time. We could finish in under 3 days. Two of our team members learned HTML and JS. The experience we gained from this will hopefully benefit us and others in the future. ## What we learned We learnt how to build a website using JS, CSS, and HTML. We also learnt important group-working skills, in which we collaborated with each other to create a working product.
