Inspiration 💡

We were inspired to make this project based off the theme for this Hackathon.Our goal was to utilize this opportunity to develop something productive and beneficial for the entire community.

What it does 🤔

"HackQuest Nexus" is a comprehensive platform that offers a wide range of features. It includes

  • a research page,
  • a mentorship portal to connect with experienced mentors,
  • a coding competition section (codeathons),
  • a planner/calendar feature, and
  • a unique random idea generator.
  • a discord bot that can generate rate ideas for youtube and hackathon. Bot can also generate youtube community post idea and relevent title, tags and description according to your idea

How we built it ⚒️

To bring "HackQuest Nexus" to life, we employed a combination of web technologies.

  • We utilized HTML, CSS, and JavaScript to design and create the user interface.
  • Additionally, we integrated the Random User API to generate random data for various sections of the platform and Github API to import repos in project showcase.
  • Also, we used Streamlit to host the random idea generation code python code.
  • We used OPEN AI API for random idea generation in the discord bot
  • We used discord.py for the discord bot

Challenges we ran into 😫

  • One of the main challenges we encountered was brainstorming and conceptualizing an innovative idea for the project. However, with determination and collaboration, we managed to overcome this hurdle and develop our vision into a reality.
  • As the theme of the hackathon, it was difficult to think in one direction.
  • As we were a team of people with different timezone, working together was also a challenge

Accomplishments that we're proud of 😊

  • We take immense pride in our ability to deliver a feature-rich platform within a short timeframe, despite the geographical barriers we faced due to being in different time zones.
  • Our teamwork, adaptability, and commitment to excellence drove us to achieve this outcome.
  • We made the same project that we ideate in the beggining.

What we learned 🍃

  • Throughout the development process, each team member acquired valuable knowledge and skills.
  • We learned how to implement diverse features on our website and collaborate effectively as a remote team.
  • We also learnt new libraries and technologies like streamlit and discord.py

What's next for HackQuest Nexus 👨‍💻

Looking ahead, we have exciting plans to further enhance "HackQuest Nexus." Our future goals include - integrating useful VSCode extensions,

  • developing a Chrome Extension,
  • and continuously adding valuable features for the hacking community.
  • We aim to make "HackQuest Nexus" a go-to platform for hackers and aspiring developers alike. Also to incorporate Machine Learning in the website to add the chat feature
