Haptics DJ

Inspiration

Driven by love for music and innovation, we discovered Ultrahaptics, which makes your DJ experience real.

What it does

It scans the moves of your hands, computes them and synthesizes an audio file in real time, while sending vibrations towards each hand.

How we built it

The hand gestures are computed in C++ and the music is modified with a Pure Data.

Challenges we ran into

Using CMake, finding a sound editor API, youtube API, connecting C++ to JS.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Have a working prototype, learned about Pure Data and used a state-of-the-art device.

What's next for Haptic DJ

More complex DJ features, hand gestures and different vibrations, based on the qualities of the sound.
