Inspiration - I'm always looking for ways to combine art and technology. At one point, I had the thought that it would be great to be able to see how similar my music tastes are to someone else through a digital platform.
What it does - Creates different visualizations and data points for two people to understand their music compatibility
How I built it - I built it in React and coordinating through VS Code
Challenges I ran into - Managing states in react proved to be difficult but I found some ways to move forward. In general points of confusion about why things weren't working
Accomplishments that I'm proud of - I'm proud that the website got as far as it did with such a small team. Parts of the website look great and I can't wait to continue developing the idea.
What I learned - I learned how to create a webpage in React, implement several libraries, and work with apis and querys
What's next for Harmonize - Continuing to add more fun ways for people to connect through music. Playlist integration and more visualizations are definitely in the plans.
