Inspiration

Our friend not being able to get the antibiotics she needed when she actually needed them made us realize how many people get appointments for issues they have in the moment for when its too late or when symptoms worsen.

What it does

HealT connects patients without a family doctor and Doctors who have some availabilities left. It puts you directly in contact with your doctor/clinic in order to find an appointment as soon as possible. Sometimes our issues are not as grave as that and for that vwe can consult Dr Chiki our AI assistant who asks for your symptoms and give you some immediate remedies (note that if problems persist or you feel the need to please do Contact a certified, professional, doctor).

How we built it

We used HTML and CSS to create our front end to be appealing, we have a singular login page that lets you check if you are logging in as a doctor or patient. Patients can find a doctor or can cancel a current doctor they are in contact with for whatever reason that may be. If a patient wishes to be put in contact with a specific doctor/clinic but they do not have any availabilities, they can be put on a waitlist. Doctors can view their patients and choose to make themselves available to new patients(boolean)

Challenges we ran into

AI implementation was the major challenge we ran into. We used springboot framework and we had trouble with configuration. When we did the merge we might have messed up the implementation and that is when the ai stopped Work

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Making the Ai ChatBox with gemini work is something we are really proud of. Except when it was crashing but we persevered regardless and 40% of the time it did work(hopefully at the presentation too T-T)

What we learned

Many of us are beginners and it is our first hackaton so we were able to learn a lot about framework and backend development(our knowledge was limited)

What's next for HealT

HealT plans to do better and be better we were not able to implement all the ideas discussed.
