Inspiration

Heartful.AI was sparked during a weekend hackathon, where we were inspired by the pressing need for accessible relationship support in a digital world. Seeing how many people struggle with communication and trust in relationships, and fueled by the potential of AI, we decided to create a tool that could offer quick, personalized guidance for couples and individuals.

What it does

Heartful.AI revolutionizes relationships by delivering personalized coaching and expert mediation for couples and individuals. Built as a prototype, it offers a safe, simple space to explore relationship challenges, uncover strengths, and grow together. With features like communication skills training, trust-building tips, and conflict resolution tools—accessible via SMS or voice—it empowers users to communicate better, build trust, and resolve conflicts, unlocking happier, healthier connections.

How we built it

Over the hackathon weekend we used Lovable to design an intuitive interface, drawing from existing coaching apps and relationship advice. Leveraging AI frameworks and open-source resources, we built core features like personalized coaching algorithms and mediation prompts, integrating SMS and voice functionalities for accessibility. We focused on a heart-centered design, using Lovable and ElevenLabs to build it.

Challenges we ran into

The hackathon’s tight timeline was our biggest hurdle, building a meaningful AI-driven tool in a weekend required rapid decision-making and constant iteration. Balancing technical complexity with emotional sensitivity was tricky, and we struggled to refine the AI’s empathetic tone. Integrating real-time voice and SMS features also posed technical challenges, as did ensuring the prototype felt polished despite the time constraints.

We’re thrilled to create a working prototype for innovative approach to relationships. Its potential to improve communication and trust, made the effort incredibly rewarding.

What we learned

The hackathon taught us the power of quick collaboration and iteration under pressure. Simplicity and focus were key. We learned to prioritize core features, like communication tools, while still envisioning a bigger impact. We also gained insights into blending AI with empathy and the importance of user privacy, even in a prototype stage.

What's next for Heartful.AI

With the hackathon prototype as a foundation, we plan to refine Heartful.AI by expanding its AI capabilities, adding multilingual support, and partnering with relationship experts for deeper insights. Our goal is to develop a full-fledged app, integrate live coaching, and build a community for peer support, ensuring it becomes a trusted tool for stronger, healthier relationships worldwide.
